-409 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

Ordered as S70409, this is an AS568-409 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 2.475 in (62.87 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.025 in (76.84 mm). The o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

Silicone offers excellent electrical insulating properties and an exceptionally wide service temperature range. Expect good resistance to many oxidizing chemicals, ozone and UV exposure, and extreme heat and cold. Continuous operating temperature is published at -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Applications involving hydrocarbon fuels and oils or steam above its rated range call for a different compound.
