-416 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

The S70416 is an AS568-416 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 3.35 in (85.09 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.9 in (99.06 mm). This o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Expect good resistance to many oxidizing chemicals, weathering, and ozone and UV exposure. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Silicone is valued for very good compression set resistance across its range and flexibility that holds at very low temperatures. Continuous operating temperature is published at -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Exposure to steam above its rated range or abrasive dynamic service will shorten service life.

It sees regular use in electronics and electrical enclosures, ovens and heated equipment, and sanitary process lines.
