As a material, Silicone delivers very good compression set resistance across its range, physiological inertness and low toxicity. The material holds up against dry heat, ozone and UV exposure, and many oxidizing chemicals. Rated temperature range runs from -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C) in continuous service.
