S70425 is an AS568-425 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 4.475 in (113.67 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.025 in (127.64 mm). In service, this o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.
As a material, Silicone is known for an exceptionally wide service temperature range and flexibility that holds at very low temperatures. It resists many oxidizing chemicals, ozone and UV exposure, and weathering. The material carries a published service range of -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Exposure to hydrocarbon fuels and oils or steam above its rated range will shorten service life.
Maintenance and OEM teams specify it across medical devices, ovens and heated equipment, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Stocked as S70425 and sold individually. Unit weight is approximately 20.27 g. Check the compound against your process media, pressure and temperature before committing to a design.
