Ordered as S2X46, this is a red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 46 mm (1.811 in), a cross section of 2 mm (0.079 in), and an outside diameter of 50 mm (1.97 in). The o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

It resists weathering, many oxidizing chemicals, and dry heat. Silicone is known for flexibility that holds at very low temperatures, physiological inertness and low toxicity. Service temperature is rated from -80°F (-62.2°C) through 450°F (232.2°C). Applications involving steam above its rated range or hydrocarbon fuels and oils call for a different compound.
