Silicone is valued for excellent electrical insulating properties and an exceptionally wide service temperature range. This material stands up to dry heat, ozone and UV exposure, and weathering. Rated temperature range runs from -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where hydrocarbon fuels and oils or abrasive dynamic service are present.
