The S70474 is an AS568-474 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 24.94 in (633.48 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 25.49 in (647.45 mm). This o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

The compound resists ozone and UV exposure, many oxidizing chemicals, and dry heat. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Silicone is widely chosen for an exceptionally wide service temperature range and flexibility that holds at very low temperatures. The material carries a published service range of -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It should not be specified for service in abrasive dynamic service or steam above its rated range.
