1.5MM CS X 5MM ID RED SILICONE 70D

S1.5X5 is a red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 5 mm (0.197 in), a cross section of 1.5 mm (0.059 in), and an outside diameter of 8 mm (0.31 in). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

The material holds up against extreme heat and cold, ozone and UV exposure, and many oxidizing chemicals. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Silicone is known for an exceptionally wide service temperature range and flexibility that holds at very low temperatures. Published continuous service range is -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Applications involving abrasive dynamic service or hydrocarbon fuels and oils call for a different compound.

This o-ring meets FDA requirements for food contact. You will find this material specified across medical devices, ovens and heated equipment, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
