S2.5X50 is a red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 50 mm (1.969 in), a cross section of 2.5 mm (0.098 in), and an outside diameter of 55 mm (2.17 in). In service, this o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Silicone is specified here for exceptionally wide service temperature range and very good compression set resistance across its range. This material stands up to extreme heat and cold, ozone and UV exposure, and dry heat. The material carries a published service range of -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C).
