The o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies. This item is further identified as Metric O-RING, JIS S7.

Silicone is specified for physiological inertness and low toxicity, flexibility that holds at very low temperatures. It resists dry heat, extreme heat and cold, and ozone and UV exposure. Continuous operating temperature is published at -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It should not be specified for service in hydrocarbon fuels and oils or concentrated acids.
