2.5MM CS X 7MM ID RED SILICONE 70D

This o-ring is supplied in red Silicone 70 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 7 mm (0.276 in), a cross section of 2.5 mm (0.098 in), and an outside diameter of 12 mm (0.47 in), catalogued under part number S2.5X7. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Silicone is specified here for very good compression set resistance across its range and flexibility that holds at very low temperatures. The compound resists ozone and UV exposure, extreme heat and cold, and many oxidizing chemicals. The material carries a published service range of -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It should not be specified for service in concentrated acids or abrasive dynamic service.
