S1.5X8 is a red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 8 mm (0.315 in), a cross section of 1.5 mm (0.059 in), and an outside diameter of 11 mm (0.43 in). In service, this o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

This material stands up to dry heat, many oxidizing chemicals, and ozone and UV exposure. Silicone offers an exceptionally wide service temperature range and very good compression set resistance across its range. Service temperature is rated from -80°F (-62.2°C) through 450°F (232.2°C). Verify compatibility before use with abrasive dynamic service or steam above its rated range.

This o-ring meets FDA requirements for food contact. You will find this material specified across electronics and electrical enclosures, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and ovens and heated equipment.
