APG stocks the TST1.498X.119X.062, a white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring built to an inside diameter of 119 mm (4.685 in), a cross section of 1.5 mm (0.059 in), and an outside diameter of 122 mm (4.8 in). A back-up ring extends o-ring service life by supporting the seal against extrusion under high pressure.

Expect good resistance to steam, solvents, and oxidizing media. PTFE (Teflon) is known for excellent dielectric properties and near-universal chemical inertness. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). Exposure to elemental fluorine at temperature or service requiring elastic recovery will shorten service life.

It sees regular use in aggressive-media pipelines, laboratory equipment, and pharmaceutical and biotech.
