Part number TES70016 is an AS568-016 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 0.614 in (15.6 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.754 in (19.15 mm). PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is valued for a non-contaminating, non-stick sealing surface and chemical inertness of PTFE with the wide temperature range of silicone. The material holds up against steam, wide temperature swings, and strong acids and solvents. Published continuous service range is -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving installation over sharp edges or tight-radius dynamic flexing call for a different compound.
