568-116 FEP ENCAPSULATED SILICONE

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-116 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A measuring an inside diameter of 0.737 in (18.72 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.943 in (23.95 mm), catalogued under part number TES70116. It seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces. Source specification: ORING 70 Durometer.

The material holds up against nearly all process chemicals, strong acids and solvents, and steam. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone delivers a non-contaminating, non-stick sealing surface and excellent recovery across extreme temperature cycling. Continuous operating temperature is published at -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C).
