568-155 FEP ENCAPSULATED SILICONE

TES70155 is an AS568-155 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 3.987 in (101.27 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.193 in (106.5 mm). In service, this o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware. Supplementary detail from the product record: ORING 70 Durometer.

The compound resists nearly all process chemicals, steam, and strong acids and solvents. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone offers chemical inertness of PTFE with the wide temperature range of silicone and a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient silicone core. Service temperature is rated from -75°F (-59.4°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving installation over sharp edges or tight-radius dynamic flexing call for a different compound.

It sees regular use in food and beverage processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and chemical processing.
