Ordered as TES70212, this is an AS568-212 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 0.859 in (21.82 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.137 in (28.88 mm). The o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load. This item is further identified as ORING 70 Durometer.

PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is widely chosen for a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient silicone core and chemical inertness of PTFE with the wide temperature range of silicone. Expect good resistance to strong acids and solvents, wide temperature swings, and nearly all process chemicals. Published continuous service range is -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where installation over sharp edges or tight-radius dynamic flexing are present.

Typical settings include cryogenic and high-temperature equipment, chemical processing, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
