568-215 FEP ENCAPSULATED SILICONE

TES70215 is an AS568-215 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 1.046 in (26.57 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.324 in (33.63 mm). In service, this o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies. Source specification: ORING 70 Durometer.

PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is valued for strong resistance to permeation and excellent recovery across extreme temperature cycling. The material holds up against wide temperature swings, strong acids and solvents, and steam. Rated temperature range runs from -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Exposure to tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges will shorten service life.

Common environments for this compound include chemical processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and cryogenic and high-temperature equipment.
