This o-ring is supplied in AS568-242 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 3.984 in (101.19 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.262 in (108.25 mm), catalogued under part number TES70242. It creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware. Source specification: ORING 70 Durometer.

It resists wide temperature swings, nearly all process chemicals, and strong acids and solvents. PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is specified for a non-contaminating, non-stick sealing surface and strong resistance to permeation. Service temperature is rated from -75°F (-59.4°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where installation over sharp edges or tight-radius dynamic flexing are present.
