568-346 FEP ENCAPSULATED SILICONE

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-346 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A measuring an inside diameter of 4.1 in (104.14 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.52 in (114.81 mm), catalogued under part number TES70346. It resists strong acids and solvents, nearly all process chemicals, and steam. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is specified for a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient silicone core and chemical inertness of PTFE with the wide temperature range of silicone. Continuous operating temperature is published at -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C).

Typical settings include food and beverage processing, cryogenic and high-temperature equipment, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
