This material stands up to nearly all process chemicals, wide temperature swings, and steam. PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is valued for a non-contaminating, non-stick sealing surface and excellent recovery across extreme temperature cycling. The material carries a published service range of -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving installation over sharp edges or tight-radius dynamic flexing call for a different compound.
