568-417 FEP ENCAPSULATED SILICONE

TES70417 is an AS568-417 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 3.475 in (88.27 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.025 in (102.24 mm). In service, this o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load. Source specification: ORING 70 Durometer.

As a material, PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is specified for chemical inertness of PTFE with the wide temperature range of silicone and a non-contaminating, non-stick sealing surface. This material stands up to steam, nearly all process chemicals, and wide temperature swings. Published continuous service range is -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges will shorten service life.

Typical settings include pharmaceutical manufacturing, food and beverage processing, and cryogenic and high-temperature equipment.
