568-424 FEP ENCAPSULATED SILICONE

TES70424 is an AS568-424 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 4.35 in (110.49 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.9 in (124.46 mm). In service, this o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load. The catalog record notes: ORING 70 Durometer.

The compound resists nearly all process chemicals, wide temperature swings, and steam. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is valued for strong resistance to permeation and a non-contaminating, non-stick sealing surface. Published continuous service range is -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to installation over sharp edges or tight-radius dynamic flexing will shorten service life.

It sees regular use in chemical processing, food and beverage processing, and cryogenic and high-temperature equipment.
