568-426 FEP ENCAPSULATED SILICONE

TES70426 is an AS568-426 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 4.6 in (116.84 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.15 in (130.81 mm). PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is valued for a non-contaminating, non-stick sealing surface and a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient silicone core. The material holds up against strong acids and solvents, steam, and nearly all process chemicals. Continuous operating temperature is published at -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges call for a different compound.

It sees regular use in chemical processing, cryogenic and high-temperature equipment, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
