568-012 FEP ENCAPSULATED SILICONE

The TES70012 is an AS568-012 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 0.364 in (9.25 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.504 in (12.8 mm). This o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces. Supplementary detail from the product record: ORING 70 Durometer.

It resists steam, nearly all process chemicals, and wide temperature swings. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is widely chosen for a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient silicone core and strong resistance to permeation. The material carries a published service range of -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges will shorten service life.

Typical settings include chemical processing, food and beverage processing, and cryogenic and high-temperature equipment.
