As a material, PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone delivers strong resistance to permeation and a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient silicone core. The compound resists nearly all process chemicals, steam, and wide temperature swings. Rated temperature range runs from -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Exposure to installation over sharp edges or tight-radius dynamic flexing will shorten service life.

Typical settings include food and beverage processing, cryogenic and high-temperature equipment, and chemical processing.
