568-120 FEP ENCAPSULATED SILICONE

Ordered as TES70120, this is an AS568-120 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 0.987 in (25.07 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.193 in (30.3 mm). The o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware. This item is further identified as ORING 70 Durometer.

It resists nearly all process chemicals, steam, and wide temperature swings. PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is widely chosen for a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient silicone core and a non-contaminating, non-stick sealing surface. The material carries a published service range of -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving installation over sharp edges or tight-radius dynamic flexing call for a different compound.
