568-121 FEP ENCAPSULATED SILICONE

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-121 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A measuring an inside diameter of 1.049 in (26.64 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.255 in (31.88 mm), catalogued under part number TES70121. It seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces. This item is further identified as ORING 70 Durometer.

Expect good resistance to wide temperature swings, steam, and strong acids and solvents. PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is specified for a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient silicone core and a non-contaminating, non-stick sealing surface. Rated temperature range runs from -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Exposure to installation over sharp edges or tight-radius dynamic flexing will shorten service life.
