568-124 FEP ENCAPSULATED SILICONE

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-124 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A supplied with an inside diameter of 1.237 in (31.42 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.443 in (36.65 mm), catalogued under part number TES70124. It creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware. Source specification: ORING 70 Durometer.

PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is widely chosen for chemical inertness of PTFE with the wide temperature range of silicone and excellent recovery across extreme temperature cycling. The material holds up against steam, nearly all process chemicals, and strong acids and solvents. The material carries a published service range of -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to installation over sharp edges or tight-radius dynamic flexing will shorten service life.
