568-220 FEP ENCAPSULATED SILICONE

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-220 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A measuring an inside diameter of 1.359 in (34.52 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.637 in (41.58 mm), catalogued under part number TES70220. It creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware. This item is further identified as ORING 70 Durometer.

PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is specified for excellent recovery across extreme temperature cycling and strong resistance to permeation. It resists nearly all process chemicals, strong acids and solvents, and steam. Rated temperature range runs from -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. It should not be specified for service in tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges.

It sees regular use in food and beverage processing, cryogenic and high-temperature equipment, and chemical processing.
