568-230 FEP ENCAPSULATED SILICONE

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-230 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A with an inside diameter of 2.484 in (63.09 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.762 in (70.15 mm), catalogued under part number TES70230. It compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint. Source specification: ORING 70 Durometer.

As a material, PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone delivers a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient silicone core and chemical inertness of PTFE with the wide temperature range of silicone. Expect good resistance to wide temperature swings, strong acids and solvents, and steam. Continuous operating temperature is published at -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Verify compatibility before use with installation over sharp edges or tight-radius dynamic flexing.

Typical settings include cryogenic and high-temperature equipment, chemical processing, and food and beverage processing.
