568-235 FEP ENCAPSULATED SILICONE

TES70235 is an AS568-235 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 3.109 in (78.97 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.387 in (86.03 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces. Additional detail on this item: ORING 70 Durometer.

The material holds up against strong acids and solvents, nearly all process chemicals, and wide temperature swings. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is specified for excellent recovery across extreme temperature cycling and strong resistance to permeation. Rated temperature range runs from -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service.

It sees regular use in chemical processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and cryogenic and high-temperature equipment.
