568-246 FEP ENCAPSULATED SILICONE

The TES70246 is an AS568-246 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 4.484 in (113.89 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.762 in (120.95 mm). PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is specified here for seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient silicone core and non-contaminating, non-stick sealing surface. The compound resists steam, strong acids and solvents, and wide temperature swings. Continuous operating temperature is published at -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges.

Typical settings include chemical processing, cryogenic and high-temperature equipment, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
