Part number TES70251 is an AS568-251 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 5.109 in (129.77 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.387 in (136.83 mm). PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is specified here for seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient silicone core and excellent recovery across extreme temperature cycling. The material holds up against wide temperature swings, steam, and strong acids and solvents. The material carries a published service range of -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges call for a different compound.

It sees regular use in food and beverage processing, chemical processing, and cryogenic and high-temperature equipment.
