568-260 FEP ENCAPSULATED SILICONE

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-260 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A supplied with an inside diameter of 6.484 in (164.69 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.762 in (171.75 mm), catalogued under part number TES70260. It creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware. Source specification: ORING 70 Durometer.

PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is specified here for seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient silicone core and non-contaminating, non-stick sealing surface. The material holds up against strong acids and solvents, wide temperature swings, and steam. Service temperature is rated from -75°F (-59.4°C) through 400°F (204.4°C).

It sees regular use in chemical processing, cryogenic and high-temperature equipment, and food and beverage processing.
