**568-279 FEP ENCAPSULATED SILICONE

Part number TES70279 is an AS568-279 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 12.984 in (329.79 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 13.262 in (336.85 mm). An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware. Source specification: ORING 70 Durometer.

This material stands up to steam, strong acids and solvents, and nearly all process chemicals. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone offers strong resistance to permeation and a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient silicone core. Service temperature is rated from -75°F (-59.4°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to installation over sharp edges or tight-radius dynamic flexing will shorten service life.
