568-345 FEP ENCAPSULATED SILICONE

TES70345 is an AS568-345 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 3.975 in (100.97 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.395 in (111.63 mm). In service, this o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies. The catalog record notes: ORING 70 Durometer.

PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is specified here for chemical inertness of PTFE with the wide temperature range of silicone and excellent recovery across extreme temperature cycling. It resists wide temperature swings, strong acids and solvents, and steam. Service temperature is rated from -75°F (-59.4°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where installation over sharp edges or tight-radius dynamic flexing are present.
