*568-347 FEP ENCAPSULATED SILICONE

Ordered as TES70347, this is an AS568-347 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 4.225 in (107.32 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.645 in (117.98 mm). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces. Source specification: ORING 70 Durometer.

This material stands up to nearly all process chemicals, wide temperature swings, and strong acids and solvents. PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is valued for chemical inertness of PTFE with the wide temperature range of silicone and strong resistance to permeation. Published continuous service range is -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in installation over sharp edges or tight-radius dynamic flexing.

It sees regular use in cryogenic and high-temperature equipment, food and beverage processing, and chemical processing.
