568-425 FEP ENCAPSULATED SILICONE

Ordered as TES70425, this is an AS568-425 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 4.475 in (113.67 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.025 in (127.64 mm). The o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies. Source specification: ORING 70 Durometer.

As a material, PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone delivers strong resistance to permeation and chemical inertness of PTFE with the wide temperature range of silicone. Expect good resistance to strong acids and solvents, steam, and nearly all process chemicals. Service temperature is rated from -75°F (-59.4°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges are present.

It sees regular use in food and beverage processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and chemical processing.
