568-449 FEP ENCAPSULATED SILICONE

APG stocks the TES70449, an AS568-449 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 9.975 in (253.37 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 10.525 in (267.34 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces. Source specification: ORING 70 Durometer.

This material stands up to nearly all process chemicals, wide temperature swings, and steam. PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is valued for chemical inertness of PTFE with the wide temperature range of silicone and strong resistance to permeation. Rated temperature range runs from -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. It should not be specified for service in tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges.
