568-018 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

Part number TEV80018 is an AS568-018 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 0.739 in (18.77 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.879 in (22.33 mm). An o-ring delivers dependable bidirectional sealing in a compact groove envelope.

PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is specified here for seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient elastomer core and long service life in aggressive chemical duty. The material holds up against strong acids and solvents, nearly all process chemicals, and aggressive oxidizers. Continuous operating temperature is published at -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care are present.

Typical settings include pharmaceutical manufacturing, aggressive-media valves and pumps, and semiconductor equipment.
