568-042 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-042 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A measuring an inside diameter of 3.239 in (82.27 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.379 in (85.83 mm), catalogued under part number TEV80042. It delivers dependable bidirectional sealing in a compact groove envelope.

As a material, PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® offers excellent resistance to permeation and contamination, a non-stick sealing surface that resists fouling. Expect good resistance to strong acids and solvents, aggressive oxidizers, and steam. Service temperature is rated from -75°F (-59.4°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care call for a different compound.
