568-131 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

The TEV80131 is an AS568-131 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 1.674 in (42.52 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.88 in (47.75 mm). This o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is valued for a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient elastomer core, excellent resistance to permeation and contamination. This material stands up to strong acids and solvents, nearly all process chemicals, and aggressive oxidizers. Rated temperature range runs from -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Exposure to installation over sharp edges without care or service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing will shorten service life.

Common environments for this compound include food and beverage, aggressive-media valves and pumps, and semiconductor equipment.
