APG stocks the TEV80140, an AS568-140 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 2.237 in (56.82 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.443 in (62.05 mm). An o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

The material holds up against aggressive oxidizers, steam, and strong acids and solvents. PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is known for a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient elastomer core and chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring. Continuous operating temperature is published at -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care.

Typical settings include chemical processing, semiconductor equipment, and food and beverage.
