AS568-146 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 2.612 in (66.34 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.818 in (71.58 mm). This o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

Ordered as TEV80146, this is an AS568-146 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 2.612 in (66.34 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.818 in (71.58 mm). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

The compound resists steam, nearly all process chemicals, and strong acids and solvents. PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is known for excellent resistance to permeation and contamination, a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient elastomer core. Rated temperature range runs from -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care are present.

Common environments for this compound include aggressive-media valves and pumps, chemical processing, and food and beverage.
