568-166 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

APG stocks the TEV80166, an AS568-166 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 6.737 in (171.12 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.943 in (176.35 mm). An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

This material stands up to nearly all process chemicals, steam, and aggressive oxidizers. PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® delivers excellent resistance to permeation and contamination, chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring. The material carries a published service range of -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care are present.
