568-171 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-171 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 7.987 in (202.87 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 8.193 in (208.1 mm), catalogued under part number TEV80171. It creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

It resists steam, aggressive oxidizers, and strong acids and solvents. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is widely chosen for a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient elastomer core and long service life in aggressive chemical duty. The material carries a published service range of -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C).
