568-221 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

The TEV80221 is an AS568-221 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 1.421 in (36.09 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.699 in (43.15 mm). This o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is valued for excellent resistance to permeation and contamination, a non-stick sealing surface that resists fouling. Expect good resistance to strong acids and solvents, nearly all process chemicals, and steam. Published continuous service range is -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care will shorten service life.

Typical settings include pharmaceutical manufacturing, aggressive-media valves and pumps, and food and beverage.
