568-226 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

APG stocks the TEV80226, an AS568-226 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 1.984 in (50.39 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.262 in (57.45 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

The compound resists steam, aggressive oxidizers, and strong acids and solvents. PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is specified for long service life in aggressive chemical duty and a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient elastomer core. Continuous operating temperature is published at -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care.

Typical settings include aggressive-media valves and pumps, food and beverage, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
