568-227 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

Part number TEV80227 is an AS568-227 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 2.109 in (53.57 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.387 in (60.63 mm). An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is specified for long service life in aggressive chemical duty and a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient elastomer core. The material holds up against aggressive oxidizers, steam, and strong acids and solvents. Published continuous service range is -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in installation over sharp edges without care or service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing.

It sees regular use in pharmaceutical manufacturing, aggressive-media valves and pumps, and food and beverage.
